This Blog wants to be the first voice of a PARTY 5.0 that does not yet exist and that we hope will be created together with many. What is PARTY 5.0? It is an idea of harnessing the great potential of innovation and technology, the keys of hardware and software that open the door to the future to generate new values widely shared, generate more welfare for all people and communities, distribute more fairly the intangible and material wealth created by work, protect the environment with greater personal commitment and more dedicated public resources. Can such a party emerge from the next Congress of the PD? One can doubt it, even strongly, but perhaps it is worth trying, because there will probably not be another occasion. How? With a complete reset of the party machinery, and of its leadership class, vision, strategy, programs, projects and actions. With whom? With all those who will share what the next Congress will decide, without hesitating beyond our reasons, without yielding beyond our values, without compromising beyond our dignity. The PARTY 5.0 will thus occupy in society and in politics exactly the place that the voters, when the time comes, will assign it to do what it decides it wants to do. And only in that place. It is a huge challenge, which will seem foolish and impossible to most people. We know this, but we still want to colour our future. We can only do it if there are many of us who put so much passion into it, if there are many of us who put so much reason into it, if there are many of us who put so much work into it.
